when Hansel follows the crumbs,
you will be found. you hope not.

reach a safe spot at the verge of your sight.
maybe not: forbidden cuadra.
and so your ribbons
gallop

I can barely hold the gun —

look up, move down, you made it —
dinner was already on the table.
mum at sunrise: these tears, white.
she doesn’t ask.

this is a small town —
